Thanks in large part to first baseman Dane Hove, the El Paso Chupacabras beat the Glendale Muskies, 9-3. Hove slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Edgar Minero got the win, improving to 2-3. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The 5th-place Muskies have lost 4 straight games.

With El Paso leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Hove hit a fastball from Bob Luse for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Chupacabras ahead, 3-0.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Hove.
