Aces Topple Ghosts, 7-5, as Oglesby Shines
|
The Quebec Aces defeated the Laredo Ghosts by the score of 7-5. John Oglesby starred for Quebec, going 3-for-4 with 2 home runs. The win went to Sal Reyes in relief. His record improves to 7-2. John Brown took the loss. Adam Bowman was called on to finish, recording his 10th save.
Tied up with the Ghosts in the top of the fourth inning, the Aces got a boost from catcher Earl McKinley. With the bases loaded, McKinley saw a first pitch changeup from John Brown and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Quebec on top, 3-2.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Oglesby.
The loss makes Laredo 43-36.
