Mad Ants Upend Aces, 5-2
|
Portland pitcher Fernando Garcia did his part in helping his team beat the Quebec Aces, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win makes Portland 46-33.
Portland needed the clutch hitting of Chris Yost to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mad Ants on top, 4-2. For the game, Yost had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Yost told the Portland Daily News.
