Royals Roll to 8-1 Win Over Matadors
|
Bob Cook was a major contributor to the 8-1 Montreal win over Hartford. The Royals first baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. With the win, Montreal has a record of 48-31. Hartford falls to 46-33.
With Montreal leading 4-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Cook batted against Hartford pitcher Andrew Severson. Cook hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Royals on top, 8-1.
"We took home the win," said Cook. "What's not to like?"
