Ballpark of Joilet was the site for Stars Conference action featuring the Joilet Jesters and Laredo Ghosts.

The Laredo Ghosts beat the Joilet Jesters, 7-1, at Ballpark of Joilet. Starting pitcher Daniel Mitchell was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. In 6.1 innings, Mitchell surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 24-year old left fielder Matt Fishburn. Fishburn had a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ghosts ahead, 6-0. For the game, Fishburn had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You score one run, you're not going to win," said Joilet skipper Felipe Arriaga. "You can have three Koufaxes and three Drysdales, you're still not going to win."
