Pitcher Pat DeChant was rock solid in helping the Lubbock Stampede beat the Joilet Jesters, 3-1, in 11 innings. Juan Barron earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 5-4. The Stampede sit in first place in the Stars Conference West Division with a record of 49-29.

Lubbock needed the clutch hitting of Josh Kreisle to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Stampede on top, 3-1. For the game, Kreisle had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We didn't let this one get away," said DeChant.
