The Lubbock Stampede beat the Joilet Jesters, 8-7, at Ballpark of Joilet. Jay Pearson, in particular, was impressive. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The winner was Paul Garcia in relief. His record improves to 1-4. Chris Rumrill took the loss. With the win, the Stampede have a record of 48-28.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Pearson delivered big-time for Lubbock, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Chris Rumrill. The game-changing hit put the Stampede on top, 8-6.
