El Paso pitcher Victor Figueroa did his part in helping his team defeat the Nashville Lasers, 8-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The Chupacabras saw their record improve to 37-38.

El Paso won the game in part because of Zach Troyer. The center fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put the Chupacabras ahead, 1-0. For the game, Troyer had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Kenny McElhaney.
