Mad Ants Roll to 8-2 Win Over Canadiens
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 21-year old third baseman Heath Sherlock, the Portland Mad Ants stopped the Montreal Canadiens, 8-2. Owen Kase picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Chris Wyzard suffered the loss. With the win over Montreal, the Mad Ants improved to 42-32.

Eric Hayes hit a bases-clearing double off Chris Wyzard in the bottom of the first, which put the Mad Ants in front, 3-0. In addition to the double, Hayes had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"It feels good to get this one," Hayes told the Portland Observer.
