Renteria Leads Hartford to 2-0 Win
In a low-scoring game between the Hartford Matadors and the Montreal Royals, pitcher Alberto Renteria was masterful on the mound. The Hartford right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-0 win. Everton Jackson recorded the save, his 23rd. The first-place Matadors hiked their record to 50-23.

Renteria, who was born in Villa Tapia, Dominican Republic, threw 111 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing no runs.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Hartford manager Jesse Heugly.
