Lasers Take Down Mad Ants, 4-3
The Portland Mad Ants could not turn a fine performance from pitcher George Robertson into a win. Instead, the Nashville Lasers prevailed, 4-3. Robertson threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Danny Heasley came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The win puts the Lasers at 45-28, while the Mad Ants drop to 39-34.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Adam Tyndall? The 25-year old shortstop Tyndall stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Nashville up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Portland manager Will Berman. "But we decided not to take it."
