Jesters Handle Chesapeake, Snag 6-2 Win
|
Joilet Jesters starter Barry McLamb pitched a strong game against the Chesapeake Tailgators at Ballpark of Joilet, leading the Jesters to victory, 6-2. McLamb, the winner, moves to 6-4. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Jeff Horn earned the save, his 11th in 12 tries.
Making an impact for Joilet was shortstop Sean Heichel. Toto drilled a run-scoring double off Jimmy Miano in the bottom of the third. For the game, Heichel went 1-4 with a double.
"I loved our energy," said Joilet manager Felipe Arriaga. "I loved the way we played."
The win boosted Joilet to 39-36.
