Chris Simon, who is tied for 9th in the SC in strikeouts with 84, imposed his will on the Muskies from the get-go. Relying mainly on his changeup, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Chesapeake triumph. Nick Douglass closed it out for his 10th save. The Tailgators have now reeled off 9 straight wins.

Mike Belsito went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for Chesapeake. The 29-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off Terry Droubay. It was his 5th hit of the season.

"When you put in the effort and you get really focused, the results come in ways you're not even expecting," said Tailgators manager Dave York.
