Stampede Raise Rally Flag, Beat Chesapeake, 4-2
|
Lubbock Stampede starter Juan Barron pitched a strong game against the Chesapeake Tailgators at Tailgators Ballpark, leading the Stampede to victory, 4-2. The 5th-place Stampede improved to 37-35.
Lubbock used the hitting of Bubba Weese to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stampede on top, 3-2. For the game, Weese had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Barron.
