Stampede Suffer 5-3 Road Loss
|
Tailgators Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Lubbock Stampede and Chesapeake Tailgators.
The Chesapeake Tailgators knocked off the Lubbock Stampede, 5-3, in Stars Conference action at Tailgators Ballpark. Chesapeake pitcher and Jackson, Mississippi, native Cory Gregerson had an outstanding performance. Chesapeake is now 29-41.
Brad Raska, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2019 draft, chipped in a grand slam home run for Chesapeake in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Raska. "You've got to get results."
