Marshalls Upend Lasers, 5-4

Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Fremont Marshalls and Nashville Lasers.
Fremont beat Nashville at Lasers Ballpark, eking out a 5-4 win. The triumph was primarily due to left fielder Joe Orr. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Brian Gay picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 6-4. Getting the save was Tom Haas, his 3rd.
With Fremont trailing 2-1 in the top of the third, Orr hit a changeup from Sean Hill for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Marshalls ahead, 5-2.
"It was a good effort all around," said Orr.
This win makes it 6 in a row for Fremont.
