Chupacabras Edge Past Jesters, 3-2

Chupacabras Stadium was the site of a tense game between the Joilet Jesters and El Paso Chupacabras.
The El Paso Chupacabras got a marvelous performance from pitcher Marc Manis. The left-hander kept the Joilet offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 El Paso victory at Chupacabras Stadium. The Chupacabras sit in second place in the Stars Conference West Division with a record of 33-35.
Had Brandon Titus not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Titus hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Chupacabras.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Manis said.
