Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Chesapeake Tailgators and Fremont Marshalls.

The Chesapeake Tailgators clipped the Fremont Marshalls, 5-3, in 10 innings at Hedgehogs Park. The standout performance belonged to Chesapeake pitcher and Irving, Texas, native Dylan Bibbs. Bibbs got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up no hits and walked 0 over 5.1 innings. He allowed no runs.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Mike Johnson? The 23-year old left fielder Johnson stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put Chesapeake up, 5-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Bibbs said.

The loss makes Fremont 44-25.
