The Chesapeake Tailgators topped the Laredo Ghosts, 2-0, in Stars Conference action at Ghosts Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Chesapeake pitcher and Santiago, Dominican Republic, native Luis Najera. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Chesapeake.

Najera gave Chesapeake a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 6.2 innings.

"Luis made some big pitches when he needed to," said Tailgators manager Dave York.
