Glendale got a strong outing from Terry Droubay as the Muskies defeated the Joilet Jesters, 5-1, at Field of the Muskies. Droubay, now 7-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The last-place Muskies lifted their record to 29-38.
Javy Villapando, who is tied for 8th in the SC with a .375 on-base percentage, took Joilet hurler Justin Berry deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Muskies on top, 2-0. In all, Villapando had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Droubay.
