The Portland Mad Ants knocked off the Glendale Muskies, 5-1, in Stars Conference action at Mad Ants Ballpark. Portland pitcher and Martinez, California, native Josh Huggins had an outstanding performance. Picking up the save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Josh Fields. The Mad Ants are now 31-36.

The Mad Ants ran into trouble in the top of the second. The score was 1-0, Portland, with one down. Glendale, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had Dustin Helm at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he struck out and the Mad Ants went on to win.
