The Quebec Aces topped the Laredo Ghosts, 6-4, in Stars Conference action at Ghosts Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Quebec designated hitter Juan Ortega. Quebec pitcher Elias Tapia got the win. He's now 2-1. Vasco Toto was tagged with the loss. The 4th-place Aces have won 5 straight games.

Steve Howard, who is tied for 2nd in the SC in extra base hits with 28, aided the Quebec cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman drew 2 walks in 6 plate appearances.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Howard. "You've got to get results."
