Matadors Reel Off Another Win
The Hartford Matadors knocked off the Glendale Muskies, 8-4, in Stars Conference action at Field of the Muskies. Hartford pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Fernando Garcia had an outstanding performance. Vinny Padilla nailed down the save. Now 44-20, Hartford has won 13 consecutive games.

Hartford used the hitting of Joe Pettit to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Matadors on top, 4-0. For the game, Pettit had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The guys are feeling pretty good about where they're at right now," said Matadors manager Jesse Heugly. "We have a lot of guys playing with confidence."
