Jesters designated hitter Maurice Patterson left his mark on his team's 8-6 win over the Nashville Lasers. Patterson went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Joilet in the contest. The save went to Chris Rumrill, number 8 for him. Joilet is now 33-33.

Joilet used the timely hitting of Bobby Shrader to capture the win. The catcher socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Jesters ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

Jesters manager Felipe Arriaga wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
