Narrow Win Takes Nashville Streak to 8
|
In a tightly-contested game between the Nashville Lasers and the El Paso Chupacabras, pitcher Reynaldo Calle was outstanding. The Nashville right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the SC in wins with 5, propelled his team's 1-0 win. Joel Racinowski earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 5-1. The Lasers have a winning streak of 8 games.
Nashville took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Maurice Easter hit a clutch solo home run to bring Lasers fans to their feet.
"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Easter.
