Royals right fielder Mike Odendahl put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Montreal Canadiens. Odendahl went 1-1 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Montreal in the contest. Montreal reliever Jay Yeiser was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Chris Runte. Chase Harriger recorded the save, his 17th.

Odendahl had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 3-1 fastball from Chris Runte, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Royals a 6-4 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Odendahl.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Odendahl told the Montreal Gazette.

Montreal's record now stands at 32-31, placing them second in the Stars Conference East Division.
