The Lubbock Stampede grabbed a win, 6-4, over the Portland Mad Ants at Reagor Dykes Stadium. Lubbock center fielder Tyler Reese was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. Dan Kleinman picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Mario Benavidez suffered the loss. The second-place Stampede go to 40-23.

Preston Otte aided the Lubbock cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 3 with a walk.

Lubbock manager William Maysonet commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
