Ghosts Shut Out Matadors, 3-0
|
Cory Langan, the 34th overall pick in the 2018 draft, imposed his will on the Matadors from the get-go. Relying mainly on his sinker, the right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 Laredo triumph. Langan picked up the win for Laredo, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 4-4. Joe Iverson earned the save, his 5th.
Brian Hull, who is tied for 3rd in the SC in triples with 3, came through for Laredo with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. The first baseman went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 1 run batted in.
"Cory did a good job mixing and matching," said Laredo manager Josh Miller.
The Ghosts raised their record to 31-32.
