The Hartford Matadors cut down the Laredo Ghosts by the score of 6-5, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Taylor McLean. McLean went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Matadors. The win went to Jeremy Carter in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Ethan Yarbrough took the loss. The Hartford win streak is now 3 games.

McLean had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a first pitch fastball from Ethan Yarbrough, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Matadors a 6-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for McLean.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Hartford manager Jesse Heugly.
