Baxter Springs Beats Portland, 4-3

The Baxter Springs Marshals picked up a win at Mad Ants Ballpark, knocking off the Portland Mad Ants, 4-3. On the mound for Baxter Springs was left-hander Jared Holder. He played a key role in the triumph. With the win over Portland, the Marshals improved to 34-28.
The Marshals got an important contribution from third baseman Kevin Davis, who in the top of the third hit a 2-2 fastball to center for a run-scoring double. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Marshals ahead, 4-0.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Portland manager Will Berman, "let me know."
