Muskies Win 4-3 Nail-Biter Versus Royals
|
The Muskies grabbed a win, 4-3, at Field of the Muskies, overcoming a fine effort from Montreal pitcher Jose Perez. Perez went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Glendale reliever Jeff Lewis snagged the win, upping his record to 4-0. Mike Mudge shouldered the loss. The Muskies improved their record to 26-36 by beating Montreal.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 17th inning, when Glendale center fielder Ray Alleyne, facing Mike Mudge, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Muskies the 4-3 win.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Jon Greenberg, the Glendale manager.
