Stampede Prevail, 6-4, Over Nashville
|
The Lubbock Stampede beat the Nashville Lasers by a score of 6-4. Lubbock shortstop Aaron Foster deserved the lion's share of the credit. Foster went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Stampede. With the win, Lubbock raised its record to 34-27.
With Lubbock trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Foster hit a fastball from Nick Alvarado for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Stampede ahead, 3-1.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Foster told the Lubbock News. "It's as simple as that."
