Tailgators Lose to Mad Ants in Walk-Off
Portland designated hitter Jamie Creed contributed significantly to his team's 9-6 win over the Chesapeake Tailgators. Creed, who is tied for 4th in the SC in home runs with 12, went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mad Ants. With the victory, the Mad Ants upped their record to 35-23.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Portland trailing 6-5, Creed jumped on a slider from fireballing right-hander John Gray and hit a grand slam home run to left-center. With one swing, the Mad Ants had a walk-off win.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Creed.
