Canadiens in Free-Fall, Lose, 5-1
|
The Montreal Royals and Montreal Canadiens completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Montreal Royals scooped up a win at Oilers Ballpark, dumping the Montreal Canadiens, 5-1. Mark Moore, who is tied for 7th in the SC in saves with 7, was essential to his team's success. The slumping Canadiens have lost 11 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for Montreal, had it not been for Sam Salas, the 22-year old left fielder . Salas contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Montreal up, 5-1.
"We haven't been playing to the level we want to play," said Montreal manager Danny Mendez.
