Chesapeake wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Eric Tate, falling to the Nashville Lasers, 3-2. Tate threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The Lasers bumped their record to 32-24 with this win.

Hector Landa delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Lasers. For the game, Landa was 2-4 with a double and a walk.
