Lasers Drop Another One, 14-3
|
The losses keep piling up for the Nashville Lasers.
The Montreal Royals marched over the Nashville Lasers, 14-3, at Turtles Ballpark. Jose Argueta, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2022 draft, led the charge. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Travis Anderson, who is tied for 2nd in the SC in quality starts with 6, was the winning pitcher. Over 8 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.
With Montreal leading 7-0 in the bottom of the third, Argueta came up to bat against Nashville pitcher Harry Bowman. Argueta hit a fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Royals on top, 10-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Argueta said.
The 4th-place Lasers have lost 8 consecutive games.
