5-1 Win Gets Hartford to 34-23
|
The Hartford Matadors topped the Quebec Aces, 5-1, in Stars Conference action at Belmont Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hartford pitcher Josh Cowels. Joe Stanley converted his 1st save in 1 tries. The win elevated the Matadors to 34-23.
Jason Seagle, the 22-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Seagle contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Hartford up, 3-1.
"We had a good game plan," Cowels said, "and we were able to execute it."
