Andy Baker pitched a gem to lead Portland to victory over the Hartford Matadors, 3-0. Picking up the save was 31-year old left-handed pitcher Rich Wilkinson. The Mad Ants win now puts them at 35-22.

Rich Kesterson had a direct impact on the outcome. Kesterson contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Portland up, 3-0.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Kesterson said after the game.
