Portland right-hander Bill Rauch pitched his team to victory over the Glendale Muskies at Mad Ants Ballpark. The final score was 6-5. Rauch got the win, improving to 4-0. He gave up 2 hits and walked 0 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. Pete Mead closed the door for Portland, picking up his 15th save of the year.

Portland designated hitter Nate Ryan contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two down, he hit a changeup to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 6th hit of the season and put the Mad Ants ahead, 6-0.

"It's a mindset," said Rauch. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."

Portland is now 27-30, while Glendale is 33-24.
