Robinson Steals Spotlight, But Last Laugh Belongs to Montreal
Despite a great performance by Lubbock center fielder Joe Robinson, the Montreal Royals defeated the Stampede by the score of 6-5 at Turtles Ballpark. Robinson went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. So far in 2023, Montreal is 21-35.

Edwin Silva, who is tied for 4th in the SC in triples with 2, helped out the Montreal cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder went 1-3, while adding 2 RBI.

In comments to the Montreal Gazette, Silva admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
