The Laredo Ghosts and Montreal Royals played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
The Laredo Ghosts used a great performance from Byron Stanton, who is tied for 9th in the SC in quality starts with 6, to beat the Montreal Royals, 3-1, at Ghosts Ballpark. Joe Iverson finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
Laredo starter Byron Stanton was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings.
"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Stanton.
At 24-28, the Ghosts are currently last in the Stars Conference West Division.
