					| Matadors Score Late to Nip Royals, 5-4 |
					| The Hartford Matadors topped the Montreal Royals, 5-4, with shortstop Brad MacNeil playing a big role. MacNeil was 4 for 7 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Matadors in the win. John Bickel, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. Hartford, at 26-28, sits in last place in the Stars Conference West Division.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 14th. With no one out, MacNeil hit a fastball from Bobby Hardy for a solo home run. The Matadors, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This game had its share of tense moments," MacNeil said, postgame.
