Fremont and Montreal duked it out and the Marshalls came out victorious.

The Fremont Marshalls topped the Montreal Royals, 5-2, in Stars Conference action at Turtles Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Fremont pitcher Mike Martinez. The Marshalls now have a record of 32-19 with the win over Montreal.

Mario Aguiluz dealt the Royals a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Fremont leading 1-0, Aguiluz, who is tied for 4th in the SC in bases on balls with 32, hit a 1-1 changeup for a 2-run single.

Aguiluz said his team "played with focus."
