Lubbock took on Quebec in front of a lively crowd.

Lubbock got a strong outing from Vicente Perez as the Stampede defeated the Quebec Aces, 4-0, at Reagor Dykes Stadium. Perez picked up the win for Lubbock, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1.

Tied up with the Aces in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Stampede got a boost from right fielder Eric Barrett. With the bases loaded, Barrett saw a full count fastball from J.P. Kallay and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Lubbock on top, 2-0.

"Vicente had good arm action, good stuff," said Lubbock manager William Maysonet.

Lubbock now sits at 27-24, while Quebec falls to 26-25.
