Matadors Rally to Nose Past Quebec

The Hartford Matadors had to overcome a good performance from Quebec pitcher Jose Ceballos to claim a 3-2 win at Belmont Park. Ceballos went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Hartford starter Luke Getts was credited with the win after throwing 99 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Hartford has 3 straight wins, Quebec 3 straight losses.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Orlando Contreras? The 26-year old catcher Contreras stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Hartford up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
