Royals Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Jesters, 4-2
Joilet got a big-time effort from pitcher Mark Herrera, but it wasn't enough to keep the Montreal Royals from winning the game, 4-2. Herrera threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Reliever Jonathan Bell picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Tristan Fry took the loss. Pedro Rodriguez closed it out for his 6th save.

John Gadsden came through with a big-time hit for Montreal. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Montreal manager Bobby White said his team played a "no nonsense" game.

Montreal has an impressive 34-17 record.
