Arnaud, Governors Clobber Royals, 10-1
|
Little Rock and Montreal got after it at Ballpark of Newport News.
Alain Arnaud was a major contributor to the 10-1 Little Rock win over Montreal. The Governors left fielder belted 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times. Justin Berry, the winner, improved to 4-7. He held the Royals to 1 run on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 1. Mike Fisher earned the save, his 6th, for the Governors.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Arnaud, who is tied for 4th in the SC with a .561 slugging percentage, hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Governors into the lead, 4-1.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Little Rock manager Josh Altier.
The Governors raised their record to 19-31.
