Laredo starter Vic Lucero pitched well against the Joilet Jesters at Ghosts Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-3. Lucero got the win, improving to 1-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. John Bonnell earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game.

In the bottom of the fifth, Laredo shortstop Jake Hamill had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Hamill stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-1, Laredo. For the game, he was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.

Laredo manager Josh Miller was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.

With the win, Laredo upped its record to 27-20.
