Chesapeake Upended, 5-3, by Nashville
|
No one was more impactful than Chris Charney in the 5-3 Nashville win over Chesapeake. Charney, who is tied for 8th in the SC in triples with 2, went 3-5 with 3 singles. Tom Herzing earned the save for Nashville, his 6th. The last-place Tailgators have lost 8 straight games.
Chris Goldsmith dealt the Tailgators a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Nashville leading 2-1, Goldsmith, who is tied for 7th in the SC in home runs with 10, hit a 0-1 sinker for a 2-run single.
"I like our mindset right now," said Nashville manager Kenny McElhaney.
