Walk-Off Win Makes Glendale 26-20
|
The Glendale Muskies managed to get by the Laredo Ghosts, 2-1, in 11 innings at Field of the Muskies. Glendale pitcher Matt Simpson set himself apart with his performance. Ivan Medina earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record is now 1-2. The win makes Glendale 26-20.
The Muskies got a clutch hit from designated hitter Ricky Rivera. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Muskies.
"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Laredo manager Josh Miller.
