Reimann, Muskies March to 14-4 Victory
|
The Glendale Muskies easily defeated the Montreal Canadiens, 14-4, at Field of the Muskies, with left fielder Jesse Reimann a main contributor to the win. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 for Glendale. Bob Garbee earned the win. Adam Obermeier, who is tied for 4th in the SC in strikeouts with 61, took the loss for Montreal. At 18-28, the Muskies claim last place in the Stars Conference West Division.
With Glendale leading 5-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Reimann came up to bat against Montreal pitcher Jacob Hodge. Reimann hit a fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Muskies on top, 8-0.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Reimann told the Glendale Daily.
