Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Hartford Matadors got the win.

The Nashville Lasers went down to defeat to Tony Ramos and his Hartford teammates. The final score was 4-2 in favor of the Matadors. Hartford has a record of 23-21, placing them third in the Stars Conference West Division.

Runs were scarce in this one. So, Carlos Herrera's at-bat in the top of the ninth was vitally important. With one out, the Hartford pinch hitter hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Ramos.
