Mad Ants Hang 3-1 Loss on Royals
|
The umbrellas came out during the Portland-Montreal contest at Mad Ants Ballpark.
In a tight tilt between the Portland Mad Ants and the Montreal Royals, Jaheim Jennings was the deciding factor. The Portland right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Kevin Kovach got credit for the save for Portland. It was his 6th of the year.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but John Sherline didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Montreal trailing 3-1, Sherline retired Eduardo Lopez to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Sherline, with a wink.
Portland now owns a record of 20-25.
