Not everyone stuck through the 59-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

Steve Doyle powered the Hartford Matadors to a win over the Laredo Ghosts. The final score was 6-3. The Hartford second baseman, who is tied for 6th in the SC in bases on balls with 26, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Hartford has run its win streak to 10 consecutive.

Dave Aschenbrener aided the Hartford cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 3.
