Lasers Top Stampede to Even Record

Justin Bellamy did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Lubbock Stampede from losing, 5-4, to the Nashville Lasers at Reagor Dykes Stadium. Bellamy was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times. Donny Bisesi got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. David Bernal earned the save for Nashville, his 1st of the year.
Franklin de Leon chipped in for Nashville with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said de Leon.
