Ghosts Slap 3-1 Loss on Tailgators
|
Andy Firkins, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2014 draft, had a strong outing for the Laredo Ghosts against the Chesapeake Tailgators at Tailgators Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. Joe McLaughlin recorded the save, his 7th. The Ghosts win now puts them at 22-20.
Ross Gotch, who is tied for 7th in the SC in bases on balls with 21, had a direct impact on the outcome. Gotch contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Laredo up, 2-0.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Gotch.
