Bob Garbee pitched well, but his team, the Glendale Muskies, still dropped a 2-1 decision to the Laredo Ghosts at Field of the Muskies. Laredo has a record of 22-17, placing them third in the Stars Conference West Division.

Laredo used a timely hit from Matt Fishburn to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ghosts ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Glendale manager Jermaine Allen. "We just didn't cash in."
