Pitcher Andy Firkins was sensational for the Laredo Ghosts in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Little Rock Governors. Firkins picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Getting the save was Butch Saulters, his 10th. With the win, Laredo has a record of 19-20. Little Rock falls to 15-24.

Julio Hernandez had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Laredo. He came through with a solo home run to put Laredo in front, 2-0.

"I got in a good groove," said Firkins. "I was getting some swings and misses."
